<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reforming unit achieving an efficient and stable reforming treatment with a simple structure. <P>SOLUTION: In the reforming unit 300, an upper part case 612 housing the reformer 620 is formed to have an outside diameter smaller than that of a CO removal exterior case 810 housing a CO converter 820 and a CO selective oxidation reactor 830 and a position corresponding to the reformer 620 is formed step-wise cylindrical to have a smaller diameter. As a result, the reforming unit 300 is formed nearly cylindrical to reduced the surface area to prevent the heat loss and to improve the energy efficiency. Further, the heat insulation treatment by a heat insulating material 500 formed nearly cylindrical and having a simple structure is easily carried out to improve the applicability. The heat insulating material at a position corresponding to the reformer 620 which has highest temperature is made thick and the diameter corresponding to the thickness is reduced to minimize the maximum outside diameter of the reforming unit 300 and thereby, the reforming unit 300 is easily made small-sized. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
