<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To convert while suppressing occurrence of errors and to achieve accurate face identification in performing image conversion to be executed as normalization processing of a face image. <P>SOLUTION: An image processing method executes normalization processing through image conversion processing in which the center of the right and left eyes of an input face image is set as an original point. More specifically, the method sets an original point of an SRAM storing a face image before normalization as a point that is the center of the right and left eyes and a point between a pixel and a pixel, sets an original point of an SRAM storing a face image after normalization as a fixed pixel point, and performs normalization processing in which coordinates before normalization and coordinates after normalization are different from one another. The configuration achieves image conversion in which generation of errors of positions or shapes of face parts such as a nose and a mouth is suppressed, enables determining a degree of similarity to an accurate registration image, and may achieve face identification processing with high precision. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
