<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent wrong correction of operation quantity of a fuel pump for compensating slippage of delivery characteristics of the fuel pump 6. <P>SOLUTION: A learning value for compensating slippage of delivery characteristics of the fuel pump 6 is learned based on a difference between reference operation quantity and operation quantity of the fuel pump 6 when a detection value of the fuel pressure in a common rail 12 is feedback controlled to a target fuel pressure during idling rotation speed control. The learning value is reflected to the operation of the fuel pump 6 in next start of a diesel engine. However, reflection of learning value to operation of the fuel pump 6 in next start is prohibited when the learning value is frequently changed over to an increase side and decrease side of delivery quantity in previous operation of the diesel engine. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
