PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To apply a display effect on contents viewed by a user in synchronous with the start time and end time of the contents. SOLUTION: A contents judgment part 31 in an effect provision part 30 specifies contents whose genre is movies on the basis of program array information SI included in a TS of digital terrestrial broadcast and the information of an electronic program table EPG. A timing specification part 32 specifies the start time and the end time of the contents specified by the contents judgment part 31 on the basis of the program array information SI and the electronic program table EPG and an effect control part 23 displays a curtain to be opened and closed at the start time and the end time on the contents.
