The present invention relates to a method and a system for molding a plate glass in a three-dimensional shape with a mold after softening the plate glass by partially heating the plate glass with flame. A method for molding a plate glass according to the present invention includes the steps of: pre-heating a plate glass; softening a part of the plate glass to be molded by partially heating the plate glass with flame; disposing the plate glass in a lower mold; molding the softened part of the plate glass by coupling an upper mold and the lower mold; obtaining the molded plate glass by opening the lower and upper molds; and slowly cooling the molded plate glass. According to the present invention, the part of the plate glass to be molded is heated with flame to be softened and the softened part is molded with a mold, so that the productivity is much superior to a prior art of heating and molding entire plate glass. In addition, since a part to be molded is partially heated and cooled, a degree of thermal strain of the molded plate glass is small so that the generation of a dimensional or molding error may be reduced. |
