<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To disclose a method for cutting a glass substrate, on which a polarizer film is pasted, to realize improvement in liquid crystal panel productivity in manufacture of liquid crystal panels. <P>SOLUTION: Scribe grooves 5 are provided on the outer surface of one-side glass substrate 2 of a large-sized liquid crystal glass base plate 3 which is formed by arranging liquid crystal cells 4 vertically and horizontally between the glass substrates 1 and 2, and then a polarizer film 6 is pasted. The polarizer film 6 is cut with an ultrasonic cutter 7, and the glass substrate 2 is broken at the scribe grooves 5. Then, scribe grooves 51 are provided on the other glass substrate 1 to break it, and the large-sized liquid crystal glass base plate 3 is divided into liquid crystal glass plates 81 of liquid crystal cell unit, and a polarizer film 61 is pasted on the surface, on which the polarizer film is not pasted, of the liquid crystal glass plates 81. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
