PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ribbon microphone unit and a ribbon microphone capable of suppressing deterioration of sound quality by preventing generation of incidental sounds at both ends in the length direction of a ribbon-shaped diaphragm. SOLUTION: This ribbon microphone unit 1 is provided with: at least a support body 2; a pair of magnets 4 and 4 mounted on the support body forming a magnetic field; and a ribbon-shaped diaphragm 3 arranged in the magnetic field of a magnet. This ribbon-shaped diaphragm is configured of a primary vibrating part vibrating in the magnetic field by receiving a sound wave and edge parts positioned at the both sides in the length direction of the primary diaphragm. Then, the magnet is provided with magnetic flux concentration preventing structure parts 10 and 10 for preventing the increase of magnetic flux density at the edge sections positioned at the both sides in the length direction of the ribbon-shaped diaphragm arranged in the magnetic filed.
