PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To transmit a signal to a controller installed at a stationary position from above an opening and closing member without causing failures such as damage and disconnection of a wire without fail. SOLUTION: This opening and closing device is constituted by providing an electric conductor means such as a metallic plate having, for example, an exposed electrical contact part along the longitudinal direction of a guide means on an internal wall face of the guide means, connecting one end of the electric conductor means with a control means, and providing a contact means moving together with an opening and closing means while being electrically in contact with the exposed electrical part of the metallic plate on the opening and closing means such as a shutter curtain to transmit the signal detected by a detection means to the control means through the contact means and the electric conductor means.
