PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wiping cloth of environment consideration type which is obtained by using a core-sheath type conjugate fiber including a core part composed of a biomass polymer and a sheath part composed of a petroleum-based polymer and has excellent moist heat resistance, dry heat resistance and color fastness. SOLUTION: The wiping cloth is obtained by using a core-sheath type conjugate fiber comprising a core part composed of a biomass polymer and a sheath part composed of a petroleum-based polymer and has tenacity retention rate (ratio) of the core-sheath type conjugate fiber after treatment for 500 hours in the environment at 50°C×95%RH of≥85%, and color fastness to friction of fourth class or higher. In the wiping cloth, a polylactic acid is preferable as the biomass polymer and a polyethylene terephthalate is preferable as the petroleum-based polymer. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
