<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hydrogen filling device capable of easily and safely filling a detachable hydrogen storage container with hydrogen in general homes. <P>SOLUTION: This hydrogen filling device comprises a hydrogen source (a water electrolyzer 2), a detachable connection port 8 to which the hydrogen storage container 10 for storing the hydrogen supplied from the hydrogen source is connected, a container cooling means (a blower 11) for cooling the hydrogen storage container 10 connected to the connection port 8, a container connection recognizing means (a limit switch 9, a controller 20) for recognizing the connection of the hydrogen storage container 10 to the connection port 8, and a full filling detection means (a pressure transmitter 8, a hydrogen residual amount sensor 12, a controller 20) for detecting the full filling of hydrogen into the hydrogen storage container 10 connected to the connection port 8.
