PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a foldable portable communication terminal having display part supported by a first chassis so that its switching operation is possible to the vertically long state and the horizontally long state via a support mechanism, in which oscillation of a display part is prevented even in any case where the display part is at a vertically long state and where the display part is at a horizontally long state. SOLUTION: A cam mechanism (support mechanism) 10 which supports a liquid crystal display part 2 is provided with a first guide groove 12 extending in the horizontal direction and a second guide groove 14 extending in the vertical direction provided in a guide plate 16, a first guide pin 13 slidably engaged with the first guide groove 12 and a second guide pint 15 slidably engaged with the second guide groove 14, both of the grooves being provided on the rear surface of the liquid crystal display part 2. The foldable portable communication terminal is provided with a holding mechanism 30 which holds the liquid crystal display part 2 even in a case where the liquid crystal display part 2 is at the vertically long state and a case where the liquid crystal display part 2 is at the horizontally long state.
