PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a component feeder, capable of pushing up components to be fed in a set number of two or more in simple constitution and action. SOLUTION: The insert feeder comprises a stocker 27 having an inclination surface 31 on which a plurality of inserts 500 can roll, a feed holder 29 comprising a holding surface 29a to push up the set number of two or more of the inserts 500 from the inclination surface 31, and a rear end surface 29b to stop the inserts 500 left on the inclination surface 31 after the holding surface 29a has pushed up the set number of inserts 500, and till it returns to the original position before the pushing-up, and a feed drive mechanism to drive the feed holder 29 so as to raise the feed holder 29 diagonally to the vertical surface toward the face side of the inclination surface 31 in a state that the holding surface 29a is more horizontal than the inclination surface 31 when the holding surface 29a is about to abut on the set number of the inserts 500 on the inclination surface 31.
