The invention relates to a ventilation system for ventilating a room in which many people may be present, such as for instance a classroom. The ventilation system consists of a fan unit provided with a fan, and preferably also provided with heating means and/or cooling means, a first inlet port for drawing air out of the room, a first outlet port for supplying air to the room, and a control means for operating the fan unit on the basis of the temperature in the room and the concentration of carbon dioxide in the air. The fan unit of the invention is provided with a second inlet port for drawing in outside air, and with a composite regulating valve, which composite regulating valve comprises two valves, whereby the two valves are placed between the first inlet port and the fan and between the second inlet port and the fan respectively and whereby at least one valve is mounted on a shaft. |
