PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cutting device for a straight member, which easily cuts a straight member without breaking it, and is composed so as to prevent scattering of dust generated during cutting to the exterior, in regard to a cutting device rotating a rotary cutter at a high speed to cut a straight member such as a wiring duct. SOLUTION: A work cutting part 3 is shielded by a fixed side cover 11 covering the rotary cutter 2 in a fixed position, and a slide cover 31 provided in a work mounting table 34 side. A rotating direction of the rotary cutter with respect to the straight member W in a cutting position is in a direction from a bottom face to a top face of the straight member W mounted on the mounting table, and torque of the rotary cutter is relieved in an upward direction from the work mounting table. It is composed such that dust preventing means 4 with a fluffy brush attached to a plate spring like guide are provided on both of an inlet part and an outlet part to be used as insertion openings for the straight member.
