<p>A biometric information obtaining device which is equipped with an antenna whose communication performance with radio device arranged outside the organism is high by covering the antenna for the biometric information obtaining device with a dielectric to provide a gap of an air layer between the antenna and the dielectric to improve the antenna radiation performance to the in-vitro space. The biometric information obtaining device (100) located inside an organism is equipped with a loop element (101) loaded on the biometric information obtaining device (100), an antenna case (104) covering the loop element (101) and having a predetermined dielectric constant, and a gap of a predetermined air layer (103) between the loop element (101) and the antenna case (104). The vicinity of the loop element (101) whose power density is high is covered with the air layer (103) being a lossless medium to prevent an organism tissue being a loss medium from approaching the loop element (101). Consequently, the influence of the organism on the degradation of the antenna radiation performance is reduced to improve the antenna radiation performance to the in-vitro space, so that the communication performance with the radio equipment located outside the organism can be improved.</p>
