PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for maintenance of an inkjet head capable of maintaining the inkjet head efficiently, in a short time, surely without damaging a substrate for a delivering opening. SOLUTION: The apparatus for maintenance of the inkjet head includes: a removing unit equipped with a suction member in which at least one suction opening facing a face on which the delivering opening of the head substrate formed with a plurality of the delivering openings for delivering ink droplets in a linear shape, arranged at a position which is not brought into contact with the head substrate, and having the direction parallel to the orientation direction of the delivering openings of the inkjet head as the longitudinal direction, and a moving mechanism moving the suction opening in the direction orthogonal to the orientation direction of the delivering openings; and a suction pump for sucking air in the suction member. In the moving mechanism, the air in the suction member is sucked by the suction pump, and the suction opening sucking the air and/or the ink is moved to solve the problem.
