PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flat type optical fiber-metal composite cable with a structure having reliability in strength when laying the cable and high reliability in long-term strength while laying the cable, in consideration of the length of an optical fiber strand and a metal wire. SOLUTION: As for this flat type optical fiber-metal composite cable 1 in which one or a plurality of optical fiber strands 2 and one or a plurality of metal wires 3 are disposed side by side, and a combined part 4 where the optical fiber strands are partially combined with the metal wires on its side, and a non-combined part 5 where the optical fiber strands is separated from the metal wires are repeatedly provided in their length direction, the length of the optical fiber strand in the non-combined part is made longer than that of the metal wire.
