Methods and apparatuses are provided for controlling content shared between devices in a wireless communication system. A first set of information is exchanged between a source device and at least one sink device. The source device establishes a connection to the at least one sink device. Capability information is exchanged between the source device and the at least one sink device. A second set of information is sent from the source device, to the at least one sink device.
