PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disposable paper diaper having color design, worn as if it were underwear and enabling going-out without anxiety. SOLUTION: This disposable paper diaper includes: a liquid permeable top sheet covering a surface side; a liquid impermeable back sheet covering a back surface side; and an absorber disposed between the respective sheets, wherein an elastic expansion and contraction member is provided on a plurality of parts including the waist part and the leg peripheral parts of the paper diaper, and a color design, which can be recognized from the outside, is printed on the at least the waist part and/or the leg peripheral parts of the back sheet that are fastened by the elastic expansion and contraction members.
