A street light adopting a xenon lamp is provided to facilitate replacement of the lamp and a ballast by including the ballast inside a lamp assembly. A street light includes a head(20) and a pillar. The head includes a main socket(21) to supply power to a lamp assembly(30). The lamp assembly includes a case(31), xenon lamps(40), and a ballast(50). The case constitutes a body of the lamp assembly and includes a main plug(32) at one side, a plurality of distribution sockets(33) at the other side, and a space unit(35) inside. The main plug is inserted into the main socket. The xenon lamps are inserted into the distribution sockets. The ballast is positioned on the space unit and applies starting voltages to the distribution sockets by receiving voltages from the main plug. |
