An apparatus for driving an iris of a lens-changeable digital camera is provided to take a moving picture while controlling the operation of the iris of a lens of the digital camera. An iris driving appliance(17) provided in a camera body is mounted on a frame(171) fixed in a mirror box. The iris driving appliance includes an iris driving motor(172) and an iris driving slide plate(173) which slides in the mirror box. The iris driving motor is supported by a protrusion(171a) of the frame such that a rotational output shaft(172a) faces downward. A lead screw(174) has a lower end supported by an intermediate protrusion(171b) of the frame.
