A terminal having a survey function and a method therefor are provided to carry out statistics and opinion collection as sequentially transmitting survey messages to preset survey targets, thus a survey person does not have to transmit individually the survey messages. A receiver(11) receives a message which includes a survey. A controller(10) displays the received message on a terminal screen, receives a user's answer on the survey to gather statistics, and includes statistical data in the received message to transmit the message to a next-ranking preset terminal. An input unit(12) inputs the user's answer on the survey. A memory unit(13) stores the received message and the statistical data. If certain time elapses without the user's answer after the message is received, a timer(15) of the controller allows the message to be transmitted to a next-ranking preset survey target.
