A data transmission system to short range wireless communication terminals and a method thereof are provided to receive contents from a contents provider server, without keeping a short range wireless communication module on, by using an RTC(Real Time Clock) installed in a target terminal in order to turn on the short range wireless communication module according to the short range wireless communication module turn-on time information provided from the contents provider server and to download contents through a source terminal. A data transmission system to short range wireless communication terminals comprises a contents provider server(10), a source terminal(20), and a target terminal(30). The contents provider server provides standard time information and short range wireless communication module turn-on time information to the target terminal. If contents to be transmitted to the target terminal exist, the contents provider server transmits the contents to the source terminal through a mobile Internet network. The source terminal, in which both a wireless communication module and a short range wireless communication module are installed, receives short range wireless communication module turn-on time information from the contents provider server. If the contents are received from the contents provider server, the source terminal temporarily stores the received contents. The source terminal turns on the short range wireless communication module according to the short range wireless communication module turn-on time information, makes a short range wireless communication connection with the target terminal, and delivers the contents to the target terminal. The target terminal, in which only a short range wireless communication module is installed only, turns on the short range wireless communication module according to the short range wireless communication module turn-on time information provided from the contents provider server and downloads the contents from the source terminal.
