The invention relates to a device (1) for a vehicle comprising a support (10), control means (11) on the support (10), the control means (11) being actuatable by a user in order to control the movement of the rear-view mirror, the device further comprising selection means (21) on the support (10), the selection means (21) being actuatable by the user in order to select between: a first mode of controlling the rear-view mirror whereby the movement of the rear-view mirror is controlled by the control means (11), or a second mode of controlling the rear-view mirror whereby the movement of the rear-view mirror is controlled by other means not located on the support (10).
