The platform (2) has a floor pan (8) moving with respect to support elements e.g. yoke joint (4) and flange (6), between high and low positions. A lifting mechanism (10) includes a lever (14) articulated on the elements between raised and lowered positions. The pan is supported against the lever so that the lever permits to raise and lower the pan between the high and low positions by rotation of the lever between the raised and lowered positions. The mechanism has a bar (16) for controlling rotation of the lever between the raised and lowered positions.
