<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To quickly clarify which has the cause of a failure between an IC card and an IC card reader when the failure in data communication occurs between the IC card and the IC card reader. <P>SOLUTION: The IC card reader/writer is provided with a controlling terminal 3 for a control signal output for sending an operation control signal P for an IC card 20 to the IC card 20 through an input/output terminal part 21a of the IC card 20, a monitoring terminal 31 to be brought into contact with the input/output terminal 21a of the IC card 20 at a position separated from the controlling terminal 3 to receive the control signal P as a monitoring control signal S through the input/output terminal 21a, and an IC card access signal monitoring part 33 for judging whether the monitoring control signal S captured by the monitoring terminal 31 is normal by comparing it with the prespecified control signal for an IC card 20 and outputting the result. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
