<p>An additional program displaying system includes a server for distributing main program data and a client terminal for displaying the main program data, wherein the server includes an additional program management unit for distributing additional program displaying instructions to the client terminals; an additional program memory unit for memorizing the additional program data, and the client terminal includes an additional program displaying unit for acquiring the additional program data from the additional program memory unit in accordance with the additional program displaying instructions to display it. An additional program displaying method and a streaming media client terminal are also provided. It is convenient to control the display of the additional program data, for example advertisements and the like, by separately transmitting and displaying the additional program data. The additional program data has no connection with the encoding/decoding of the main program data, so that the main program data and the additional program data can be displayed individually.</p> |
