PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bed with a shelf, which is excellent in moisture absorption and odor absorption effects. SOLUTION: For the bed A with the shelf, a bedding mounting part is provided with a recessed part whose depth is 10 to 20 cm, frame bodies 13 and 13' are formed on side walls around the recessed part, a support column 14 is erected inside the recessed part, a bedding receiving base 20 for mounting bedding supported by the frame bodies 13 and 13' and the support column 14 is provided, and the inner bottom 12 of the recessed part formed at the lower part of the bedding receiving base is turned to the shelf for housing a moisture and odor absorbing body. Strong wood which generates an odor little is used for a part to be in contact with the bedding and the wood with excellent aroma is used for the other part. In the shelf, the moisture and odor absorbing body 30 composed by using ceramic charcoal 32 for which bentonite is kneaded in wood chips and burnt is housed. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
