Regenerators. - In a steam - generator furnace a having a regenerator c to which air is supplied by a fan k, the latter is directly connected to the waste-gas exhaust fan d by a conduit h, e having a branch leading to the smoke stack f, this arrangement permitting a proportion of the waste gases to be passed, with the air, to the heater c to prevent condensation and consequent corrosion. The proportion of waste gases thus returned may be regulated by a damper in the conduit h. |
