PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To finely transfer the fine uneven shape of a stamper upon molding a disc substrate and in addition pursue the cooling efficiency by forming, on the mirror surface plate to be arranged with the stamper of one die in the molding die for the disc substrate and on the mirror surface plate of the other die, heat buffering layers that are excellent in bonding capability (affinity) with the stainless steel mainly forming the mirror surface plates and also excellent in durability. SOLUTION: On the surfaces of the mirror surface plate 34 of one die 31 of the molding die 20 for the disc substrate on which the stamper 36 is arranged and the mirror surface plate 26 of the other die 21 or between the surfaces and the cooling medium passages 34a, 26a there are provided metal sprayed layers 51, 61 by a metal which has a thermal conductivity lower than the metal mainly forming the mirror surface plates 34, 26.
