PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To implement updates appropriate to OS or regional changes. SOLUTION: An update management program 22 on a client 10 checks a prespecified program among application programs 20 for a change from installation-based OS information to current OS information and for a change of regional setting. If there are any changes, the changes are notified to a server 40. An update management program 50 on the server 40 analyzes the changes to create update data including appropriate update instructions and content, and sends it to the client 10.
