PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a front fork having simple construction that supports a suspension spring while preventing the bowing. SOLUTION: The front fork 10 comprises a spring collar 27 provided integrally with a spring collar portion 27A, a spring seat portion 27B, a spring guide portion 27C, and a tapered portion 27D. The spring collar portion 27A at the upper end of the spring collar 27 is fitted to a lower-end small diameter portion 25A of a cap 25 at the upper part of a vehicle body side tube 11, the spring seat portion 27B is provided at the intermediate part of the spring collar 27 for the suspension spring 13 to be locked thereto, the spring guide portion 27C is provided at the lower part of the spring seat portion 27B of the spring collar 27 for guiding the inner periphery of the suspension spring 13, and the tapered portion 27D having a diameter-shrunk front end is provided at the lower part of the spring guide portion 27C of the spring collar 27.
