PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of driving a metal oxide silicon (MOS) type rectifier which solves the problems due to bidirectional conduction characteristics that are inherent in a metal oxide silicon field transistor (MOSFET). SOLUTION: A MOSFET drive circuit of a MOS rectification type electric motor is constituted of a rectifier input/output voltage capturing part, an on/off decision circuit part, an on/off decision logic circuit part, an output buffer part, a diagnostic part and others.
