<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a secondary battery having high reliability by relaxing pressure distribution in a wound body while securing a sufficient capacity. <P>SOLUTION: The wound body 20 has a positive electrode 21 and a negative electrode 22 wound by laminating with a separator 23 in between and is housed inside a battery can 11 of hollow rectangular shape. The wound body 20 is wound around along a winding direction R from the center of winding side toward the outer periphery side of winding and is formed in a flat shape to be in conformity with the shape of the battery can 11 so as to contain an opposed pair of flat parts 20S and an opposed pair of curved parts 20R. The outer periphery side end part of the negative electrode 22 located at the outermost periphery of the wound body 20 is fixed by a protection tape 26 to cover the outermost periphery face of the wound body 20. The both end parts of the protection tape 26 are overlapped at the flat part 20S and any of both end faces 26TS, 26TE is located at the flat part 20S. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
