PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an energy-saving, low-noise and safe torque motor type elevator having sufficient torque, simple members and high machine efficiency for facilitating accurate positional control and simple control system wherein a maintenance operation load is low. SOLUTION: In the torque motor type elevator including a torque motor 20, a ball screw 30, a slide nut 40 and an elevator car 50, the torque motor has a rotor axis for rotating as driven by electromagnetic force, the ball screw includes a load screw axis, a load nut and many rollers. An end of the load screw axis is interlocked with the rotor axis of the torque motor. In the slide nut, an inner surface is provided with a thread 41 which fits with a spiral of the load screw axis of a ball screw and a gap is left between the thread and the spiral of the load screw axis. The elevator car is fixed to the load nut of the ball screw by a connecting tool and moves up and down together with the load nut of the ball screw. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
