<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide methane fermentation process and methane fermentation apparatus enabled to carry out methane fermentation stably for a long duration and suppress the wear of a pump by sludge even if operation is carried out on a high load for a large volume of an organic matter. <P>SOLUTION: The methane fermentation apparatus comprising a release pipe L4, a digested liquid discharge path L9 connected to the release pipe L4 and rising upward and/or a pipe connected to a methane fermentation tank, a sludge separation part 15 disposed at the lower end part of the pipe rising upward, and a sludge accumulation tank 20 for storing sludge precipitated and separated by sludge separation part 15 is used for periodically extracting a fermentation waste solution from the lower part of the methane fermentation tank, precipitating and separating sludge contained in the fermentation waste solution in the sludge accumulation tank, and for discharging and/or turning the fermentation waste solution with decreased sludge out and/or back to the methane fermentation tank. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
