PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a short circuit due to the rust of the terminal part of a liquid crystal display device or dew condensation inside a washing machine, to prevent fogging of the display surface of the liquid crystal display device or to suppress the temperature rise of a controller which controls the liquid crystal display device in a display part for the washing machine provided with the liquid crystal display device. SOLUTION: In an operation/display part 13 incorporated in the electric washing machine 10, a connection terminal 69 provided in the liquid crystal display device 16 is exposed from the cover part 57 (terminal opening 84) of a liquid crystal cover 36 and is electrically connected with an electronic circuit formed on the back surface of a control board 33. Then, by a urethane resin 111, the connection terminal 69 exposed from the cover part 57 (terminal opening 84) of the liquid crystal cover 36 is covered and also the terminal opening 84 is closed.
