<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus for saving any labor in performing scan-to-memory or direct print. <P>SOLUTION: When a USB memory 28 is connected to a multifunction device 1, a mode (scan-to-memory mode or direct print mode) which has been executed to the connected USB memory 28 is executed.
