The motor vehicle (1) has a wall, on which a cladding component is fixed by a retaining bar on the wall. Each retaining bar (12,14,16) has a fastening unit with a spreading end, which is clicked in the through opening formed in wall of the car body (2). The fastening unit has a through opening and a screw is threaded in the through opening for end assembly of pre-assembled retaining bar on the wall, which fixes the spreading end of the fastening unit in its position.
