A footwear string closure device is provided to allow a user to put on or take off his or her footwear easily while not fastening or unfastening the footwear string, and to enable easy control of the footwear string. A footwear string closure device(A) for fastening footwear string inserted into grooves formed in the footwear comprises: an unlocking portion(1) attached to the outer part of the footwear; and a string fastening portion(2) detachably coupled to the unlocking portion. The string fastening portion includes side grooves(21,21') having an elongated through-hole shape and formed symmetrically on the inside of the rectangular edges, and a groove(22) for fastening is formed between both side grooves. Additionally, a pressurizing rim(23) is formed on the circumference of the bottom of the side grooves and the groove for fastening. Further, a hook piece(24) is integrally formed on the top of the pressurizing rim, the hook piece being opposite to the fastening groove and being directed toward the exterior, so that the hook piece is coupled to or uncoupled from a jaw(154) formed at one side of the unlocking knob(15) provided inside the unlocking portion.
