A method for automatically adjusting output values of a reader writer is provided to read and write data with minimum energy and to minimize the effect of radio waves having on external environments. A control part judges whether a pallet or a cart is detected through a sensor(S10). In case the sensor detects a pallet or a cart, the control part sets the radio output of the antenna of a reader writer to the minimum value(S11). Then the control part judges whether it is possible to perform RFID tag read/write(S12). If not, the control part increases the setting value by one step(S13). If it is possible to perform RFID tag read/write, the control part reads the ID of an RFID tag or performs desired processing(S14). Then the control part sets the radio output of the antenna to the original value(S15).
