A method for providing a message stored in a message mailbox server and a media transfer server using the same are provided to enable a service member to check a voice or moving picture message stored in the message mailbox server without directly connecting to the message mailbox server through a mobile terminal. A message converter receives and converts the message stored in the message mailbox server into a file of a format playable in a receiver terminal. A converted message processor receives a converted file, collects state information of the receiver terminal, and transmits the converted file to the receiver terminal based on the state information of the receiver terminal. The message mailbox server is a voice mailbox server, a moving picture mailbox server, or a voice/moving picture mailbox server. The converted message processor is an MMSC(Multimedia Message Service Center)(310) or an LMSC(Long Message Service Center)(320). |
