<p>A two-stage check valve for automatic transmission system is provided to secure a flow rate of an automatic transmission fluid to be supplied to a clutch pack. An automatic transmission system includes a hydraulic pump, a torque converter(20), and a two-stage check valve(28). The torque converter is in fluid communication with a clutch pack(24) through a bore(26) in a transmission input shaft(22). The two-stage check valve is formed in the bore of the transmission input shaft. The two-stage check valve is in fluid communication with the clutch pack and the torque converter. The check valve has a first valve unit for performing an opening operation according to first pressure, and a second valve unit for performing an opening operation according to second pressure. The first pressure is less than the second pressure and the second pressure is less than a normal operating pressure range of a transmission.</p> |
