<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an actuator unit which can be manufactured by a relatively simple process and has a high durability. <P>SOLUTION: Cylindrical electrodes 17a-17d are embedded in a piezoelectric actuator plate 6a. A length in an axis direction of the electrodes 17a-17d is slightly shorter than half of a thickness of the piezoelectric actuator plate 6a. The electrodes 17a-17d are prevented from penetrating the piezoelectric actuator plate 6a. The piezoelectric actuator plate 6a is polarized in its surface direction. When the electrodes 17a and 17c show a positive predetermined potential, an electric field is impressed to the surface direction of the piezoelectric actuator plate 6a. The actuator unit 6 including the piezoelectric actuator plate 6a curves to swell to the upside because of an elongation difference in the surface direction between the upside where the electrodes 17a-17d are arranged and the downside where the electrodes are not arranged. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
