PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a picking facility eliminating workers free from the work and capable of performing the continuous picking work. SOLUTION: The picking facility comprises a plurality of picking zones 12 and 13 wherein articles 2 in a plurality of items are housed and the articles 2 of the item ordered from a plurality of shops are picked up, an article conveying device 1 for conveying the articles 2, an article throw-in conveyor device 17 provided in each of the zones 12 and 13 to deliver the articles 2 picked up in the zones 12 and 13 and thrown into the article throw-in conveyor device to the article conveying device 1 in order, and a sorting chute 5 for sorting the articles 2, which are respectively delivered to the article conveying device 1 from each of the article throw-in conveyor devices 17 per each of the shops, from the article conveying device 1. Picking of the articles 2 in each of the zones 12 and 13 and throw-in thereof into the article throw-in conveying device 17 are continuously carried out separately in each of the zones 12 and 13 in order of previously set shops.
