PURPOSE:To facilitate an easy change of channel constitution, by having the conversion between logical and physical channel address by means of an address conversion table. CONSTITUTION:When an input/output start command is issued by a program, an arithmetic processor 1 transmits an address of the channel designated by an instruction and an address of an input/output device onto a channel address bus 7 via a channel address converting circuit 8. At the same time, an input/output interruption request signal given from each channel is fed to a channel interruption masking circuit 6 via the circuit 8. The circuit 8 converts the addresses set to a channel address register 2 and a unit address register 3 into the physical addresses based on the contents stored in a channel address conversion table 30 and then transmits these addresses onto the bus 7. The input/output interruption signal is converted into a logical address. |
