PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve maneuvering feeling and ride quality in traveling of a unit swing type saddle type vehicle such as a scooter. SOLUTION: A motorcycle is equipped with an engine unit 20 swingable up and down together with a rear wheel, a buffer 50, and a link mechanism 60 for changing an expansion/contraction quantity of the buffer 50 in compliance with a motion quantity of the engine unit 20. The engine unit 20 has a downside supported part 22 rotatably attached to a pivot shaft 109 and making possible a swing of the engine unit 20 around the pivot shaft 109, and an upside supported 23 connected to a vehicle body frame through the link mechanism 60 and the buffer 50.
