The present invention relates to prevention and treatment of allergic sen sitization and diseases associated therewith by treatment with an enteroviru s vaccine, wherein the enterovirus does not contain an exogenous nucleic aci d sequence that is integrated into the viral genome and that encodes an alle rgen that induces said allergic sensitization.
