[Class 65 (ii), A pivot for windows and the like comprises a trunnion 1 working in a socket formed of two parts 4, 6 which are fixed together by screws 9 ; the part 4 is integral with a fixing plate. The socket parts have inserts 10 of frictional material, which press against the trunnion when the screws 9 are tightened to hold the window in any position.
