The device has an operating control function for controlling a position detection function for implementing a position detection process to pre-determined time intervals, and an object type recognition function for recognition of a type of an object i.e. pedestrian. The recognition function is designed to meet a determination, which states whether a time change sample of position of the object coincides with a preset sample. The type of the object corresponds/does not correspond to the preset object type sample when the determination is positive/negative. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a communication system comprising a transmitter, and a receiver fastened to a vehicle (2) a vehicle-vehicle-communication-device fastened to a vehicle.
